Protection while on the water
Give Your iPod a Longer Life
Fort Collins, COLO—Since the introduction of the iPod® in 2001, Apple® has ruled the MP3 market. Last quarter, sales reached 21 million, boosting revenues by 50 percent. For iPod lovers, the concept of “taking your music anywhere” is revolutionary. However in reality, most iPods cannot withstand elements of daily life—water, dust, dirt and drops.
The most popular reason for broken iPods, especially in newer models, is broken LCD screens. Some are sensitive enough that sweat and humidity can break the unit.
So What do you do if your iPod breaks?
If searching Google™ for “iPod Repair” or “Broken iPods,” you will find around 3 million related sites. Repair prices vary depending on the model and parts. LCD screens range $35-119, harddrives $70 to almost $200 and batteries another $26-89. Damaged faceplates range $69-79. In many cases, this doesn’t include shipping and professional installation. Bottom line, repairing or replacing an iPod is not cheap.
Why not add rugged protection from the beginning?
When you add up the cost of your iPod, songs, photos and videos, it’s scary to think you could lose your entire investment with wrong move. Otter Products, LLC., located in Fort Collins, Colo., offers a sort of “iPod insurance” with OtterBox for iPod case line. These rugged, interactive cases are waterproof, dust-proof, dirt-proof and drop-resistant. Cases add protection and longevity at a fraction of repair costs.
With an OtterBox for iPod, users can go hiking, biking, rock-climbing or even swimming without ruining their device. Cases available for the iPod nano (1st and 2nd generation), video, photo, mini, 20GB, and shuffle (1st generation).
The OtterBox for iPod mini, 20GB, photo, nano (1st and 2nd generation) and video enable user interaction with the iPod Click Wheel through a clear membrane on the front of the case. A hard screen cover shields the display and offers drop-protection and screen visibility. An included belt clip allows hands-free carrying and integrated headphone cable management. For more flexibility, an armband is available.
Slightly different, the OtterBox for iPod shuffle 1st generation enables iPod control access through a flexible, rubber button on the front. On the back, a clear window offers visibility of the on/off switch and a rubber button for battery check access. The case also includes a removable neck lanyard. Optional armband available.
Otter Products, LLC. offers a complete line of rugged cases for PDAs, Palm® Treo™, RIM Blackberry®, notebooks, Tablet PCs, cigars, Zippo lighters and other valuables. For more information call 888-695-8820 or visit http://www.otterbox.com. |

TRAILERS STAND OUT ON THE ROAD WITH BRIGHT LED TAIL LIGHTS
Often, the key to preventing highway accidents is having trailer lights that are easily seen by other drivers. Innovative Lighting's 250 series Slim Line LED Stop, Tail and Turn Light features a distinctive optical and lens design in a 15", 11-LED configuration for maximum visibility.
The advantages of LED technology are many. Brighter than incandescent bulbs, the 250 Slim Line can provide drivers following a trailer an extra 24' of stopping distance at 60 mph. Drawing 90% less power than incandescent bulbs, LEDs reduce the load on electrical systems. The Slim Line LED is rated for 100,000 hours, compared to 3,000 hours for an incandescent bulb, and it will last over 20 years.
Innovative Lighting's Slim Line is particularly appropriate for trailer and RV applications. With no brittle metal filaments to break, it stands up to shock and vibration. Having the electronic chip inside an epoxy substrate thoroughly protects the LEDs from the elements.
The unique design of Innovative Lighting's 250 Slim Line LED meets SAE/DOT specifications and Class A reflectance standards, minimizing the need for additional reflectors on a trailer or towed camper.
Innovative Lighting has long been on the forefront of LED technology. Using sophisticated lens software, scientists collect, measure and redistribute the light energy to a calculated surface. A virtual modeling system optimizes the lens design so the light output loses the least amount of energy, assuring an accurate and reliable optical system.
The 250 series Slim Line LED Stop, Tail and Turn Light operates on 9-16 volt DC systems and draws 250 milliamps. The 15.5" L x 1.6" W x .8" D Slim Line can be mounted vertically, horizontally or at a 45 degree angle. Innovative Lighting offers a choice of red or clear lens in a sealed polycarbonate housing. It retails for $32.99.

NEW E-XTEND KEEPS
ETHANOL GAS FRESH
Tests show E-10 gasoline
has short lifespan
Merrick, New York (USA) - Now there's a new wrinkle for boat owners filling fuel tanks with Ethanol (E-10) gas. The fuel mix which is gradually replacing MTBE to help reduce harmful emissions has a shorter lifespan and begins to degrade within 30-45 days.
New E-XTENDTM from Marine Development & Research Corp. (MDR) is specially formulated to keep E-10 gas refinery-fresh for up to 60 days. E-XTEND also contains antioxidants and de-gummers to help fight sludge, resin deposits and gum from forming in a boat fuel tank. Use it each time you put E-10 gas in your tank.
Since even a small amount of water can reduce engine performance and promote rust & corrosion, E-XTEND contains some of MDR's E-ZORB emulsifier, which increases E-10's tolerance for water. (An additional amount of E-ZORB should be added separately to E-10 gas if a larger amount of water is detected.) Both products are alcohol and methanol-free.
E-XTEND and E-ZORB are available at boating supply stores across the U.S. For more information, visit www.mdramazon.com

TGT Bunker Spoons
Spoon Feeding Trophy Bass
Anyone plugged into the striper scene probable heard the bunker spoon bite has been world class in the past few years. So don't let those cows slip through your fingers. New "Bunker Spoons" from the Linden NJ based TGT, which is an acronym for "Tournament Grade Tackle", far surpass other spoons on the market and will get more fish on the deck from Spring right through the Fall run.
All TGT Bunker spoons are chemically etched stainless steel before being two-tone powder coated for extreme protection against bluefish teeth. The powder coating simply will not peel. And the one of a kind two color scheme draws strikes from even the most wary bass. For sound enhancement TGT Designers added rattling mechanisms to the spoon to trigger more strikes and draw fish in from a distance. Whether pulled on braid or wire the classic double-hook setup will grab hold and stay planted. Pull them through shipping channels, inlets, over structure, in rips or tight to the beach. Then just hang on tight when that trophy bass hits.

Powerstrike by Woodstock Line
The Traditional Spectra® Super Line now has increased performance where it counts most. Typically, Super Lines lose 40-50% of their tensile strength at the knot. Now with a special blend of resins impregnated into the line, Power Striketm adds tensile strength, and extra strength at the knot.
Super Lines all have the same characteristics because of the properties of the revolutionary fibers they are manufactured with. Some Super Linings even have coatings added to enhance some of the features shown below. But what the Super Lines currently on the market have not done is increase the most critical element of fish line: the overall strength, specifically at the weakest link - the knot.
The Power Striketm fish line has been engineered to increase the knot strength up to 15% and overall tensile strength of the line 8 - 10% over the traditional Super Lines. This increase can make all the difference in the outcome of your fishing experience. Why take the chance that the line you trust will fail you when you need it most - when you hook that enormous fish with tremendous fight?
The new Power Striketm now will give you more strength, and will not delaminate like other Super Lines.
- Near zero stretch
- Abrasion resistance to equipment and natural hazards
- Sails effortlessly through guides for longer casts
- Maintain peak performance over time
- No reel memory
- Incredible strength-to-diameter ratio
- Reduces wind knots, blacklashes, guide and rod tip wraps
- Won't cut guides
- Ties more easily and hold knots better
- Picks up less water
- Spools and packs better on any reel
- Round, smooth sensitive line
- Outperforms monofilament in any situation
- Superior to the previous Super Lines
- Absorbs minimum moisture and resists ice build-up
- More flexible
- Smaller diameter, less drag
- Longer, smoother casts
- Better handling on any reel
- Extreme cold does not affect the strength
