south and east of Cape Cod since the printing of the May issue.
The correct dates for the 2008 season are Apr 26 - May 25 and Sep 27 - Oct 26.

This Week's Fishing Forecast

The striped bass season has kicked-off with some exciting reports up and down the New England seaboard! Legal-sized bass have been landed as far north as Maine, and some spots in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts are hosting a red-hot bite of weigh-in worthy bass! Armies of big bluefish are steadily advancing north in big numbers and providing exciting action for surfcasters. Add to that a smorgasbord of smaller saltwater species to choose from -- tautog, sea bass, winter flounder and fluke -- as well as a 78-pound cod, and anglers can anticipate some terrific fishing this weekend!
